A place to belong in Alwoodley

The 16th North Leeds Scout Group has been part of the Alwoodley community for many years, giving young people the chance to learn new skills, make lifelong friends and enjoy real adventures.

What we do

We're a friendly, welcoming Group offering Scouting to young people aged 4 to 14 across four sections — Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Every week our young people take part in a huge range of activities, from games and crafts to camps, hikes and expeditions, all designed to help them grow in confidence and independence.

Skills for life

Scouting helps young people develop skills for life — teamwork, resilience, leadership and a spirit of adventure. Whether it's their first campfire or their first expedition, we're here to help them try new things, find what they're great at, and have a brilliant time doing it.

Run by volunteers

Like all Scout Groups, we're run entirely by volunteers who give their time to make it all happen. We're always grateful for extra help — no experience needed, just enthusiasm. If you'd like to get involved, please get in touch.
